This is the NUWEB implementation of CallMF 2, consisting of the files

callmf.ins - An `execute' script for automatic installation.
callmf.w - The NUWEB source code for the CallMF scripts.
readme - This short introductory text.

To make use of this set of files, you need the NUWEB program for `literate
programming' by Preston Briggs and Marc Mengel. The Amiga port is located
at the usual site

   AmiNet:/dev/misc/ami_nuweb0.90.lha

Installation is done by simply `executing' the shell script `callmf.ins'.

CAVEAT UTILITOR: You should be very careful not to overwrite old versions
of `MakeBatch.rexx' and `MakeTeXFont.rexx' in case that you don't have
installed the new directory structure yet. Do not take CallMF 2 just as
an update for previous versions, it is an innovative implementation and
introduces revolutionary ideas. :-)

To create the LaTeX documentation for CallMF 2, follow the instructions
given on top of the source file `callmf.w'. In order to fully exploit
the features of CallMF 2 you should carefully read the text.

CallMF 2 is depending on the `TeX Directory Structure' (TDS) version 0.98+
proposed by the `TeX Users Group' (TUG) `Working Group' (TWG) in 1995, and
can not be used with older TeX installations on the Amiga, be it AmigaTeX
or PasTeX. Except for this general directory layout, which is exemplified
by the AmiWeb2c system, no explicit assumptions about the TeX and MetaFont
programs are made.

NOTE: The first public version 0.98 of the TDS draft introduced a major
change in the directory structure for bitmapped font files, i.e., files
with extensions *.<dpi>pk and *.<dpi>gf (and also *.<dpi>log). The <mode>
part moved from its position in version 0.76 as used in version 1 of the
AmiWeb2c system and now stands between the <type> and the <supplier> parts
of the directory name. Users of the first AmiWeb2c distribution will have
to reorganize the /fonts/pk, /fonts/gf (if present), and also /fonts/log
directories before updating to the current version of CallMF. It will not
be necessary to move any other files/directories, especially the
/fonts/source directory structure is the same as in the previous version.
